MELBOURNE, Fla.(WESH) — A Rockledge woman is facing child neglect and DUI charges after her children, ages 7 and 12, called the cops on their “drunk mom,” police said.

Melbourne police arrested Shaun Marie Orlos, 41, in a parking lot off North Wickham Road around 10:20 p.m. on Monday.

Officers said the vehicle was still running and Orlos was sitting in the driver’s seat when they arrived. Police said Orlos smelled like she had been drinking alcohol. They say she also had bloodshot eyes and her speech was slurred.

When Orlos got out of her vehicle, she couldn’t stand up without leaning on her vehicle. Police said she refused to do sobriety tests and submit to a breath test.

Records show Orlos has a suspended license and two previous DUI arrests. She was booked into the Brevard County Jail.
