British ‘superfans’ already camping out for royal wedding

“Superfans” of the British royals are already planting themselves outside of Windsor Castle ahead of this weekend’s royal wedding.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to get married on Saturday, but several fans had already started camping out by Wednesday.

“Superfan” Maria Scott says she has camped out for several other royal events, including Prince William’s wedding to the Duchess of Cambridge.

She doesn’t plan on going home before the wedding.

“I’m staying here. I’m sitting in this chair and I’m not moving. Only to go to the toilet,” she said. “This is where I’ll be. It’s a brilliant position because the carriage has got to turn here so we will get a good view of the couple. It will be amazing.”

Another fan, 83-year-old Terry Hutt, is a die-hard supporter of the monarchy. He’s even offering to walk the bride down the aisle if her father doesn’t show up.

“I’m over the moon to think Harry’s getting married, we’ve all been waiting a long time for him,” Hutt said. “With what’s going on (with Markle’s dad) it won’t stop them from being married, even if I have to take her up the aisle, I’ll take her up for him.”

All of the “superfans” are already anticipating what they say will be one of the biggest moments of Prince Harry’s life.

“I wanted to have a prime position to see him coming past, happy with his bride,” Scott said. “I just can’t wait.”
