TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - This Christmas morning, volunteers come together at Metropolitan Ministries to make sure everyone had a day worth celebrating.
They started cooking up food to make 8,100 meals dark and early in the morning to give to families in the Tampa Bay community.
Every kid at Metropolitan Ministries who otherwise wouldn't have any gifts under their tree were granted their Christmas wish thanks to WellCare.
Families attending the festivities at Metropolitan Ministries were able to meet Santa and have their family portrait taken.
And later today there will be a big holiday feast with ham, sweet potatoes and veggies.
