A brand new restaurant in St. Pete is cooking up authentic dishes straight from Puerto Rico.
Totti who was born in San Juan crafted the menu to include traditional island bites and handwritten recipes going back three generations reflecting his Spanish and French family background.
“WEPA! is a word of jubilation commonly used by Puerto Ricans,” Totti said.
Your taste buds can travel to the streets of Puerto Rico with foods like picadera, Masitas de Cerdo, Mofongo, Pernil and Chicharrones de Pollo from the island, Paella and Pasteles.
WEPA! is located on 22nd Street South at 2149 3rd Ave. South in St. Petersburg’s Warehouse Arts District.
It is open Tuesday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. serving lunch and 5-9 p.m. for dinner. The spot is closed on Mondays.
