A local charity grabbed their tool belts today to build bikes for at-risk kids.
“On Bikes” and the Tampa Bay Lightning joined forces at the Boys and Girls Club in Tampa to put together 100 bikes for kids in need.

Former Lightning player Dave Andreychuk and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Derrick Brooks cranked out some major elbow grease to build the bikes in under an hour.
On Bikes founder Julius Tobin says he believes every kid deserves a bike.
“It’s pretty incredible, a lot of the times we make the organizations and parents that we work with the heroes. But when we do get that opportunity to see the kid and see then get a chance and get outside and go run around or get to football practice or a job interview or whatever, it’s incredible!” Tobin said.
The bikes built Tuesday will be part of the 6,000 total bikes donated to the Heart Gallery, Boys and Girls Club, Starting Right Now and The Kid’s Place.
