An alligator made its way onto an Odessa property and bit a horse.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a property on Gunn Highway around 8:30 p.m. A 6-foot gator had bit the horse in the leg.
Deputies contained the alligator, which was in the pasture, and Florida Fish and Wildlife sent a trapper.
The horse’s owner is seeking private medical help for the animal.
