Dancing FBI agent who accidentally shot someone arrested, charged

DENVER (CNN) - The FBI agent seen in a widely shared video accidentally shooting a bystander at a Denver bar has been charged with assault.

29-year-old Chase Bishop was booked into jail Tuesday and will appear in court Wednesday to answer to the charge.

The shooting happened when Bishop was dancing in front of a crowd earlier this month.

After doing a back-flip, his gun fell out of his waistband and appeared to fire accidentally when he picked it up.

That bullet struck a 24-year-old man, injuring his leg.

Bishop is based in Washington DC, but was visiting Denver for training.

Denver's district attorney says he may face additional charges once the results of his blood alcohol test become available.
