California girl gets unicorn surprise for wheelchair for Halloween

LOS ALTOS, Calf. (WFLA/KNTV) – A California girl got quite the Halloween costume surprise.

Five-year-old Eliza uses a wheelchair. She really wanted to be a unicorn this Halloween.

Tuesday, she became one.

Three employees from Varian in California volunteered and spent two months making the costume to fit Eliza’s chair.

They were all connected through the non-profit Magic Wheelchair.

“For her to have something that's just for her, just made for her, uniquely hers is pretty amazing,” said Eliza’s mom, Cori Poffenberger.

Eliza said she’s happy about all of the lights on her costume chair and couldn’t wait to show her classmates at school.

The volunteers say they plan to do this again and make more magic wheelchairs for other children in the future.
