HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WFLA) — One person was killed when a small plane crashed into a neighborhood in Hollywood, Florida Wednesday afternoon.

Dispatchers received a call around 12:35 p.m. that a single-engine Piper PA-25 had crashed on North Park Road just north of Hollywood Boulevard. Authorities said the plane was engulfed in flames upon impact with the ground.

The sole person aboard the aircraft died at the scene.

Preliminary findings indicate there were no other injuries related to the crash.

The NTSB is now investigating the crash.
