TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — NASA’s Orion capsule circled around the moon as part of the Artemis mission on Monday morning.

The spacecraft neared the moon around 7:25 a.m. and was about 80 miles from the surface at 7:57 a.m.

Artemis I is an uncrewed Moon-orbiting mission, the first in a series of missions that will lay the groundwork for human exploration to the Moon and Mars.
