LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. (WFLA) — Football activities at Land O’ Lakes High School will resume after an investigation into a locker room fight, according to the Pasco County School District.
The district said Friday’s Varsity game will go on as scheduled.
The school district said the fight allegedly happened in the team locker room post-practice. The district was initially investigating the fight as a possible hazing incident, but have determined it was just a fight between two students.
All Land O’ Lakes High School football operations were put on hold pending a thorough investigation, the district said, including practices, on-campus conditioning and games.
The district is working on safely resuming all football activities in time for Friday’s varsity game, according to a news release.
“Our investigation is ongoing, and we are diligently working toward a resolution involving discipline surrounding violations of our student code of conduct,” the district said.
The school district said more information will be available as the investigation progresses.
