After an 0-1 start to the season, the Fort Meade Miners are stopping by the 8 On Your Side studio Friday morning for a pep rally.
The Miners have been celebrating after the school raised its overall grade from a “C” to a “B”.
“We are so excited about our school grade of a B,” said Principal Amy Hardee. “We wanted to celebrate in a big way, in hopes that the momentum will keep us moving forward.”
As part of the celebration, teachers, custodians, cafeteria workers, staff and bus drivers were treated to lunch at Streamsong, which is an upscale golf resort and spa in Bowling Green.
The Miners are looking to get their first win of the season as they take on the Lake Region Thunder at home.
