JERRY PENACOLI

Jerry Penacoli, known to viewers across the country for his work on EXTRA, has been Co-Host of “Daytime” going on three years.
Jerry is a multiple Emmy award-winner and has served as a correspondent for “Extra” for the past 15 seasons. Penacoli covers many of the show’s high profile and exclusive interviews. A respected host, he has also been a host for E! Entertainment Television.
Penacoli began his career at WJKS in Jacksonville, Florida, as a general assignment reporter and news anchor. He then moved to WTVJ in Miami, where he served as host and co-producer of “PM Magazine.” Penacoli went on to KYW-TV in Philadelphia, where he was named main anchor of the prime newscasts and host of the live morning talk show, “People Are Talking.” After nearly a decade in Philadelphia, Penacoli moved to New York to co-host the national talk show “Attitudes” with Linda Dano on Lifetime. While there, he says he “caught the acting bug” and began working on stage off-Broadway and did several soap stints including “One Life to Live.”
Penacoli relocated to Los Angeles in 1992 and won roles on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and “The Young and the Restless, and NBC’s “Santa Barbara,” and “Days of Our Lives,” for which he is often recognized for his compelling portrayal of the character “Miles Malloy.”
Penacoli has guest-starred on several major television shows, including ABC’s “The Practice,” the sitcoms “Cheers,” “Ellen” and a guest-starring role in the 2007 season finale of “Stargate Atlantis.” He’s also acted in feature films such as “Woman on Top” with Penelope Cruz and Ana Gasteyer, and “Galaxy Quest” with Sigourney Weaver and Tim Allen.
Jerry is happy to be reunited with his family in Tampa Bay, and is an avid outdoorsman and artist.
CYNDI EDWARDS

With an insatiable curiosity and a deep desire to learn something new each day, co-hosting Daytime is my dream job. The Daytime crew is like one big family and we keep each other laughing.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but I think I caught the bug for broadcasting as a teenager while reading my high school’s “week in review” report at a small radio station in my hometown.
Every day on Daytime we meet incredible people doing extraordinary things and I love sharing their stories with you. I wish I could share my favorite Daytime moment but there are too many to choose from.
Feel free to drop me an email and don’t hesitate to come up and say hello when you see me in the community. We love meeting our viewers.
When I’m not on the job, I like to spend time with my hubby Colin and our two golden doodles. Of course we cherish time spent with our family and friends! Travel, golf, volunteering and cultural activities are just a few of the ways we spend our spare time.
