Sheri Kendrick captures treasured photos of children at a time in their lives when, often, their futures are uncertain. She is a professional photographer, but she donates her time, talent, and giving heart to “Little Light of Mine,” a nonprofit that provides services to families with children fighting life-threatening illnesses or injury.

Currently, Little Light of Mine partners with Children’s Dream Fund, All Children’s Hospital, and Stepping Stones Pediatric Hospice. Through these partnerships, Sheri has photographed children who, in some cases, have passed away not long after the photos are taken.

June 30, Little Light of Mine will open a studio in St. Pete, that will provide a controlled and comfortable space for children who have special medical needs and are not hospitalized. When not being used for Little Light of Mine sessions, the space will be used for an educational space, where professional photographers can share their tips and techniques.
