Preventing Injuries in Youth Sports this Fall Season

Bloom

For many youth sports programs, this fall has been the first return to normal since the spring of 2020. And while the unpredictability of COVID-19 hovers in the background, for now many youth sports officials across the country are focused on continuing to get athletes back on the fields safely – in accordance with updated guidelines from the CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and National Federation of State High School Associations, among others.

Dr. Miho Tanaka, AVSports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon and Director, Women’s Sports Medicine Program at Mass General Brigham joins Gayle Guyardo the host of the nationally syndicated health and wellness show Bloom with what parents need to know.

Bloom airs in 40 more markets across the country, with a reach of approximately 36 million households, and in Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Madison, WI.

You can watch Bloom in the Tampa Bay Market weekdays at Noon on WTTA: Spectrum 1006; Frontier 514; DirecTV 38; Dish 38; Comcast 43, and look for Bloom early mornings on WFLA News Channel 8.
