TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – WFLA News Channel 8 is proud to announce that Bloom is coming to News Channel 8’s weekday afternoon lineup!

Bloom is Tampa Bay’s only daily one-hour show focusing on a healthy mind, body and soul. Hosted by Gayle Guyardo, Bloom will air weekdays, starting Sept. 5 at 2 p.m.

“The Tampa Bay area is vibrant, active, health conscience and, overall, an outdoors-focused community,” said Mark Higgins, the vice president and general manager of WFLA News Channel 8 and WTTA Great 38. “Bloom will be the perfect complement to our lifestyle.”

Host Gayle Guyardo will cover all things that affect our collective minds, bodies and souls including relationships, beauty, fashion and healthy tips viewers can use. Bloom will kick off its season with “5 Weeks to Fierce!” – a weekly segment with Today Show’s Nutritionist Joy Bauer.

“Gayle is a popular TV personality in the Tampa Bay area and will surely be welcomed by WFLA viewers,” Bloom Executive Producer Elizabeth Motley said. “In addition, she has deep roots and a strong passion for stories promoting a healthy, balanced lifestyle. We are thrilled for Bloom to be a part of WFLA’s afternoon line-up.”

Gayle is a Tampa native and longtime news anchor and journalist for 34 years. She lives in Tampa with her husband Mark and four daughters.
