2 years after it opens the building can't house patients it was supposed to.

BAY PINES, Fla. (WFLA) – The new Mental Health Center at Bay Pines was built, in part, to provide inpatient care for psychiatric patients.

As 8 On Your Side found out – it isn’t.

Less than two years after the $92 million facility opened, the Mental Health Center still does not meet VA safety standards.

How much will it cost to bring this building into compliance? Why wasn’t it done to begin with?
