It steams the wrinkles out of clothes but for some people who bought Joy Mangano’s My Little Steamer, it ended up burning them badly.
“I have never ever felt pain like that,” said University of California freshman Stella Rue.
The first time Stella used the steamer, she suffered a severe burn on her leg.
Some defective models spew boiling water several feet, scalding anything in the path.
“It just blasted,” explained Patricia Schere, who suffered second-degree burns on her foot and ankle.
My Little Steamer is the subject of at least 3 lawsuits.
One complaint states Mangano’s Ingenious Designs, LLC., which developed and manufactured the product, knew that the steamer was defective and failed to warn consumers.
