DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham's Hillside High School was out in force Friday morning for the first WNCN Blitz morning pep rally of the 2014 season.

Meteorologist Alyssa Corfont greeted an enthusiastic group of students early Friday. The Hillside band was blaring in the long before sunrise as the Hornets got ready for tonight's big game with Southern Durham.

Hillside plays Southern Durham at 7:30 p.m.

Dozens of students showed up

The Hillside valedictorian, who is also an outside linebacker, was there as many of the top people at Hillside got up early to show their school spirit.
