TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

A Tampa man is dead and two others are hospitalized after a pair of unrelated early morning shootings.

An officer on patrol heard gunshots Monday at 1:21 a.m. in the area of Waters Avenue and Edison Avenue. He responded to find one gunshot victim in the street. A second gunshot victim was later found at Waters and Florida Avenue.

Police have identified the victims as Antonio Davis, 31, and Dexter Price, 31. Both of them were rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

About 20 minutes after that shooting, police responded to a call for shots fired at the Sugar Shack nightclub. The responding officers were told a man had been shot and was driven to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Police says Rodrick Randale Alexander, 32, of Tampa, died at the hospital. Witnesses said a fight started in the club's parking lot and Alexander was shot in the neck.

Tampa Police say neither case appears to be a random act of violence. Detectives are now working leads and talking with witnesses.
