There is a lot of good in this story. Because of Hope's near-death experience more than $58,000 was raised from well-wishers around the world who wanted to help pay for Hope's medical treatment. Hope didn't need that much money. So, other animals are now benefiting from it.

BRADENTON, FL (WFLA) -

Manatee County Sheriff's deputies shot and killed a pit bull on Friday morning.

Deputies responded to a call at 10 a.m. about an aggressive pit bull that was harassing people in a Bradenton neighborhood. Deputies found the dog in the front yard of a home at 5800 12th St. East.

The dog began to approach one of the deputies in an aggressive manner then moved toward people who were standing nearby, according to the MCSO.

The dog backed the people into a yard. A deputy was concerned the dog would attack, so he fired one shot. The bullet hit the dog in the torso and it died.

The owner of the dog is not known, according to the MCSO.
