LILLINGTON, N.C. -

One of the five suspects in a child pornography ring based in Harnett County appeared in court Wednesday.

Tommy Wall, 50, of River Ridge Way in Willow Spring, is charged with felony 1st degree statutory rape of a 9-year-old child, “carnally knowing and abusing” that child, and engaging in sex offense with a 13-year-old child. He is also charged with conspiracy to commit 1st degree statutory rape against the nine-year-old.

Wall requested a public defender during his appearance Wednesday. Court documents reveal he worked at a building supply company in Garner. His neighbors said he lived alone at his home in Johnston County.

Wall was arrested Tuesday, but the Harnett County Sheriff's Office has been working on this case for months.

Investigators believe Wall worked with Bailey Mills to arrange and possibly record the meetings with the girls. Mills and his wife were arrested in January after a 12 year old girl reported that Mills used Facebook to offer her other girls 300 dollars for sex. Investigators interviewed another girl who said Mills contacted her through text messages.

Investigators searched Mills' home in western Harnett County and found videos of Mills and other men engaged in sex acts with young girls. They believe he and his wife ran a fake mentoring and tutoring program and offered babysitting to attract the victims.

Search warrants also revealed that investigators found lingerie and a stripper pole in an outbuilding at the Mills home. Investigators believe the young girls were paid to perform in that building.

Harnett county investigators say this case is still open, meaning there is a possibility they will find even more men who were willing to pay young girls for sex in the operation.
