ABINGDON, VA - There might be free Barter Theatre tickets hidden in your town!  Barter is giving away a free dinner and a show once a week for the next 7 weeks!

The tickets are hidden in local businesses throughout the East TN/Southwest VA region. How do you find them? Sign up to receive text clues from Barter Theatre (you can unsubscribe at any time). Barter will send a clue a day until some lucky person figures out the location and claims their prize. Then the next week they'll start over again with a new location!

The prize is a pair of tickets to any production in Barter's 2014 season, plus dinner for two at Bob's at Barter, a $100 value.

It's a fun scavenger hunt inspired by news stories of an anonymous donor in San Francisco who leaves cash in unexpected places. "It's inspired by the @HiddenCash twitter feed in San Francisco," according to Director of Marketing Amanda Livingston. "We just loved the idea and thought it would be fun to bring it to our region, but give away a pretty great theatre package."

The clues will begin Thursday June 19th at noon. To sign up to play, text the word BarterTix to 88202. Standard message and data rates apply, you may unsubscribe at any time.

Clues will only be given by text, but once a winner has claimed the prize for that week, they'll announce the winner and location on Twitter and Facebook.

For information on the Barter Theater check out this website: http://www.bartertheatreblog.com/

Happy hunting!
