TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

When you think of the World Cup, you most likely don't think about french fries. But, one Tampa Bay artist probably does.

Leon Bedore, 35, of Tampa, who is known professionally as "Tes One", is one of a dozen artists from around the world whose work was selected to adorn McDonald's french fry containers in celebration of futball and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

12 artists were selected from 12 countries, with Bedore picked for the United States.

"The redesign will treat customers and futbol fans with an exclusive collection of original street art that reflects the beauty and passion of the game of futbol," said McDonald's in a news release about the special french fry boxes.

Bedore's brightly-colored design is titled 'Formations' and features a player inside of a soccer ball.

Bedore says he's a self-taught artist who attended Gibbs High School. His paintings have been displayed in galleries. He also enjoys creating murals and graphic design.

"This was a little bit different job for me," he told WFLA.com.

This is not his first venture into commercial graphic design. Bedore says he has created designs for many brands including Nike, Architectural Digest, Loreal, and the New Yorker.

Bedore says his mother was also an artist. His uncle, Larry Bedore, is a proud fan of his and contacted WFLA about his nephew's work.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign is the first time that McDonald's has changed packaging design on a global scale, the company said in a news release.

It sounds like a wild fabrication: A spitting cobra, being prepared for a dish in a restaurant in southern China, bit and killed a chef 20 minutes after its head had been chopped off.

The may look fluffy and cute, but these caterpillars are anything but. Under all that fur on the puss caterpillar are venomous bristles that break off into the skin when touched by humans and cause serious pain.
