TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Investigators with the Fire Marshal's Office are looking into the cause of a fire at a Tampa apartment complex.

Around 3:34 p.m., Tampa Fire Rescue officials responded to a 911 call about a unit on fire at the Park Avenue Apartments on 11319 N. 50th Street.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming out of a first-floor apartment. The fire was under control within minutes.

A Tampa Police officer says there were two people in the unit where the fire is believed to have started, but they got out safely before firefighters arrived. No one was in the second floor unit.

No injuries were reported.
