TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - A Pinellas County man could spend the rest of life behind bars, after being found guilty in connection with a terror plot late Tuesday afternoon.

Sami Osmakac had been on trial in federal court for the 2012 plot.

Prosecutors say Osmakac, a Kosovo-born American citizen, was upset at the U-S for killing Osama Bin Laden.

They say he planned to set off a bomb at a South Tampa bar to get revenge.

Osmakac purchased what he thought was a bomb and assault rifle from an undercover FBI agent, and was arrested.

His defense attorney claims he has a mental illness and was set up by the FBI.

Osmakac could get up to life in prison on the attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction charge.  He will be sentenced in October.
