Citrus road rage incident leads to stabbing

INVERNESS, FL (WFLA) - Citrus County deputies are searching for the suspect accused of stabbing another driver in a fit of road rage.

Deputies say the stabbing occurred at Highway 44 and Washington Street in Inverness around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s who drives a white Honda pilot with Washington State tags. The suspect may still have a large knife that was used.

After the stabbing, the victim, 20-year-old John Bowling from Beverly Hills, Florida, flagged down a deputy and EMS was called to the scene. The victim is recovering from his injuries.
