Temple Terrace Police seek answers in 9-year-old Felecia's murder

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL (WFLA) -

Police are still seeking the public's help to find 9-year-old Felecia Williams' killer.

The Temple Terrace Police Department and Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will set up message boards along the Courtney Campbell Causeway this weekend in order to generate additional tips in the homicide.

9-year-old Felecia Williams was last seen alive on Friday May 16th at the Doral Oaks Apartments.

She was last seen with family friend Eboni Wiley. Wiley has now been charged giving false information to a law enforcement officer during an investigation.

Wiley told investigators that she picked up the girl and took her to the Doral Oaks Apartments in Temple Terrace. Wiley said she took a shower and when she was done, Williams was gone.

Her lifeless body was found May 17th along the Courtney Campbell Causeway.

Temple Terrace Police have named Granville Ashanti Ritchie, 35, as their only suspect in the case.

Police are still looking for clues to help wrap up the case.

"What we need from the public is just any information related to any suspicious activity that they may have seen out in the area of the Courtney Campbell Causeway,” said Temple Terrace Police Chief Ken Albano.

Cesar Jesus Lopez comes to the Courtney Campbell Causeway on most days to fish.

"People do what they want out here all the time during on the weekend, because there is just too many people and very few police officers,” said Lopez.

Lopez believes there may have been many people in the area, but in the darkness he also believes the crime may not have been noticed.

"It's such a long stretch, that if they stopped right there at those palm trees, stopped at night and dumped a body and got back to the light and went back to Tampa, you'd never know it," said Lopez.

Chief Albano hopes someone noticed something that can help with the investigation.

"Anybody, either a commuter or somebody who was out there during the times we are talking about, any information you can provide could be that one seemingly innocent piece of information that we need to finalize this investigation," said Albano.

A $13,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers of Tampa and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

To report a tip, please call the Temple Terrace Police Department at (813) 989-7110.
