HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

One of the men convicted in a gruesome 2003 case is behind bars in Hillsborough County, charged with first-degree murder.

Scott Schweickert told detectives he and a friend, Steve Lorenzo, drugged, sexually tortured, and killed Jason Galehouse and Michael Wachholtz.

An indictment for first-degree murder was handed down in 2012. Schweickert was already serving 40 years in federal prison for drug-related charges and conspiracy.

Schweickert was booked into the Hillsborough County jail on Thursday night, and appeared in court Friday on state murder charges in the deaths of Galehouse and Wachholtz.

Steve Lorenzo is also behind bars on charged related to those deaths, and a drug-induced torture of seven other men, who survived.

The case drew anger from the victims' families when the State Attorney's Office did not immediately charge the men with murder.

At the time of this writing, Lorenzo is still not charged with murder.

An arraignment is scheduled for June 9th for Scott Schweickert.

It sounds like a wild fabrication: A spitting cobra, being prepared for a dish in a restaurant in southern China, bit and killed a chef 20 minutes after its head had been chopped off.

The may look fluffy and cute, but these caterpillars are anything but. Under all that fur on the puss caterpillar are venomous bristles that break off into the skin when touched by humans and cause serious pain.
