Restaurant Buzz: free Frosty, Guy Harvey Opens RumFish, new brewery restaurant, cupcake champ

No doubt, dining out is a popular pastime here in Tampa Bay. We're here to keep you informed. Here's this week's "dish" about what's happening at Tampa Bay restaurants.

Renowned wildlife artist Guy Harvey opens his new RumFish Grill restaurant on Saturday in St. Pete Beach. The restaurant features a 33,500 gallon snorkeling aquarium that was built by the cast of the Animal Planet reality show "Tanked". Harvey and the stars of Tanked will sign autographs on Saturday. Tampa is on the list of markets that Food Network "Cupcake Wars" champ Arleen Scavone would like to expand to.

Scavone is owner of Sweet Arleen's bakery in Westlake Village, Calif. The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the three-time winner of Cupcake Wars wants to capitalize on Tampa Bay's "foodie" culture and expand her franchise model here. Learn more.

Ybor City's Tampa Bay Brewing Company plans to open a second brewery restaurant in northwest Hillsborough County. The company announced that the new restaurant will feature a standalone building with a production brewery and packaging facility. The brewery is scheduled to open in 2015 on a 2.1 acre site near the intersection of Race Track Road and Hillsborough Avenue. Learn more.

There's a new breakfast option in Tampa. The Bungalow on Kennedy is now serving breakfast. The restaurant is also offering "to go" options for some breakfast menu items. Learn more.

Like ice cream? Participating Tampa Wendy's restaurants will be giving away free Frosty Waffle Cones as part of a customer Appreciation Day from 12 to 8 p.m. on Memorial Day. Learn more.
