TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

The world is watching as help begins to pour into violence ridden Nigeria and the the global community ramps up to help rescue nearly 300 girls kidnapped by terrorists.

Monday that terrorist group Bokom Haram released the video of those girls. The video has not been authenticated.

Meanwhile, here in Tampa Bay a group of Nigerian-Americans is planning a rally to garner local support in the fight for change in their homeland.

The rally is planned for Friday, May 16 at 3 p.m. at the University of Tampa's main gate.

The group is asking everyone to wear red and black as a show of solidarity.
