PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputy is facing a charge of disorderly intoxication.

St. Petersburg Police say on Saturday night, Deputy Jeffrey De Cresie, 48, was acting belligerent, and arguing with a female acquaintance near the Taste of Pinellas event. The argument drew the attention of passerby, and police officers.

Officers asked De Cresie to leave the area, and he did not. De Cresie was arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication in a public place.

De Cresie has been with the Sheriff's Office since 2000. He is assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau - Central District.
