'Chemical spray' turns out to be kids smoking pot on Pasco school bus

Posted: Updated:

Pasco County officials say students who were smoking marijuana on a school bus left several students feeling ill Friday afternoon. Officials first thought the bus had been sprayed with some kind of chemical.

Officials say four students on the bus from Crews Lake K-8 School complained of being sick; at least two students had anxiety attacks. The driver reports feeling ill, as well.

Students were evacuated after the incident. After a search of the bus and students on board, Pasco Fire Rescue found a group of students had been smoking pot.

The bus was stopped at SR 52 and Pasco Trails Blvd.
