TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Family and friends of a missing Tampa mother of five will hold a candlelight vigil on Saturday, more than one year after her disappearance.

Misti Whitfield was last seen on May 2, 2013 near Nautical Marine at 5525 West Hillsborough Avenue.

Detectives say it was unlike the 36-year-old mother of five to disappear without checking in with her family.

While the case is still classified as a missing person case and detectives have no evidence of a crime at this point, as more time passes, the family and detectives are growing more concerned.

Whitfield's family wants to find her and has planned a candlelight vigil at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 at McCall Park, 100 North Collins St. in Tampa. A case detective will also attend the vigil.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Misti Whitfield is asked to call Tampa Police or anonymous tips can be made through Crime Stoppers 1-800-873-TIPS.
