A man is being treated at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg after an accidental shooting at a gun range in Pinellas Park.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury, Pinellas Park Police Sgt. Adam Geissenberger said in a news release.
The incident occurred about 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wyoming Antelope Club, 3700 126th Ave. N., according to the release. Based on a police investigation, a private security company is leasing a portion of the range for agency qualifications.
One of the participants was re-holstering his weapon at one of the ranges when he inadvertently pulled the trigger. He was struck in the leg.
The name of the security company releasing space at the range also was not released.
