DURHAM, N.C. -

The winner of the Boston Marathon is in the Triangle.

Meb Keflezigh crossed the finish line in 2 hours 8 minutes and 37 seconds to win the 2014 Boston Marathon April 21. This is the first time an American has won the race in 31 years.

Keflezigh said it was good to pull through with the win considering last year’s tragedy.

"I feel honored and humbled to be able to come across the finish line and it's tough. It was very hard, but at the same time I was digging deep for Boston, the United States and the world," he said.

Keflezigh will be at the starting line for the All American Marathon in Fayetteville on Sunday.
