Woman, 60, hit by car in St. Pete

ST PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) - A woman was struck by a car when she was walking down 1st Street in St. Petersburg early Monday morning, firefighters said.

St. Pete Fire Rescue crews responded to the corner of the 1st Street North and 34th Avenue at 6:46 a.m. They took the victim, the 60-year-old woman to the Bayfront Medical Center. Doctors are evaluating her injuries.

A woman in early 30s who was driving the car, was injured as well. Responders treated her at the scene and released her.

St. Petersburg Police detectives are investigating the crash.
