The former Polk County high school teacher facing multiple sex charges won't be celebrating summer break anytime soon.
The former teacher is now faced with a $370,000 bond, accused of having sex with underage students who police claim she groomed and preyed upon.
Before her first appearance Friday afternoon, Jennifer Fichter smiled several times; her reaction to jail mates talking about her story of having sex with teenage students making headlines.
Words like "national news" and "Hollywood" seemed to perk up the 29-year-old just before she heard why the state believes she's unsafe for the community.
Police tell 8 On Your Side Fichter hooked teenage boys by first befriending them - insisting they call her Jen - and taking part in late night Facebook chats.
But it is constant hair-tossing, eye cuts, and fiddling which is now entertaining the former teacher while she's in jail.
“No comment. No comment,” her attorney Matthew Farmer said Friday after the hearing.
Her attorney's not talking and it looks like she won't be anytime soon.
That's because, along with established pretrial conditions of not communicating with anyone under the age of 18, the judge added Friday something new.
No more computer and no more social media.
But if her jail house smiling is any indication, she's still getting her attention.
