LAKELAND, FL (WFLA) -
A Lakeland man has been charged after a road rage incident that occurred in Mulberry.
Polk County Sheriff's deputies arrested 25-year-old Warren "Chalmers" Orr for the alleged attack on a passenger in another car.
This is Orr's seventh time in the Polk County Jail. Most recently, he was released on April 1st.
The road rage incident started when both vehicles were leaving a gas station, waiting to pull out into traffic. The driver of Orr's car, which was behind the victim's car, honked the horn telling the other car to move. Deputies say the passenger in the other car responded by asking, “Really?” and shrugging his shoulders. Orr got out of his car, and approached the other car in a threatening manner, deputies say, but the victim's car left before he could reach it.
Orr's car caught up with the other while stopped at a red light. Orr again approached the car attempting to start a fight, deputies say. He tried opening the door, but it was locked, and he began punching the passenger's window. Deputies say he grabbed the top of the window until it shattered and attempted to grab and punch the passenger. The driver pulled away from the scene.
Orr has been charged with burglary of conveyance for illegally entering into the victim’s car; three counts of simple assault and threat to do violence; three counts aggravated stalking; and one count criminal mischief.
He was additionally charged with one count battery domestic violence in an unrelated incident that occurred during the same time period. He remains in the Polk County Jail on no bond.
