Polk County deputies searching for Winter Haven man

WINTER HAVEN, FL (WFLA) - Polk County sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help to locate Travis "Pinky Barrientos of Winter Haven.

Deputies said a warrant has been issued for Barrientos' arrest for attempted second degree murder. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Early Saturday morning Barrientos and 32-year-old Juan Bautista got into an altercation on Rifle Range Road in Wahneta, a Polk County Sheriff's Office news release stated. Barrientos stabbed Bautista several times and threatened his life/

Bautista was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Barrientos has been positively identified as the suspect in this case. Polk County deputies have obtained a warrant for his arrest for Attempted Second Degree Murder.

Barrientos, AKA "Pinky," is described as a Hispanic male, 6-foot tall, weighing 205 to 215 pounds.

He has several tattoos:

  • Barrientos" on his back
  • "Lucky 7," "Cholo," "Latin" on his left arm
  • "You," a cross, and a crown on his left hand
  • "WSF," "Cholo" on his left shoulder
  • "Pride," "Joker," "FTW" on his right arm
  • "I love Teresa, Anjie, J.D., Efren" on his right leg
  • A profanity on his right hand (four letter word that starts with F)
  • A globe, a jester, and "FTW" on his right shoulder
     

    Barrientos' last known address is 112 Prospect Ave. in Winter Haven.

    Barrientos has a lengthy police record, including arrests for shooting into an occupied dwelling, domestic violence, carrying a concealed weapon. He was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison for attempted first degree murder and was released in November.
