$600,000 Hudson home destroyed by fire, 1 injured

Posted: Updated:

Investigators say strong winds spread a fire that destroyed a $600,000 home and injured one person in Hudson.

Pasco County Fire Rescue received a call about the blaze at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday.

When firefighters arrived four minutes later, all three stories of the home at 14981 Edgewater Circle were on fire.

One person inside the home was injured in the blaze and transported to Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center.

There were no fire hydrants in the area, so firefighters fought the blaze using water from a tanker shuttle.

It took thirty firefighters nearly an hour to bring the fire under control.

No firefighters were injured and the cause of the fire still remains under investigation.

The condition of the injured person has not been released.
