Clearwater PD: infant injured when his dad tried to choke his mom

CLEARWATER, FL (WFLA) -
A man in Clearwater had a fight with his wife and began choking her when she was holding their baby son, police said. She dropped the baby on the floor. The man was arrested, the 7-week-old boy ended up in a hospital.
Clearwater PD arrested Thomas Reinke, 40, late Tuesday night. They were called to the house on the 2400 block of Parkstream Drive a little after 11 p.m. in response to a physical battle.
Officers said the two were fighting, and the woman had the boy in her arms. When Reinke started to choke her, she began losing consciousness. She became weak and dropped the boy on the wooden floor. The infant was taken to St. Joseph's hospital with a brain bleeding, a broken arm and a slight skull fracture.
Police said, his injuries didn't appear life-threatening.
Reinke remains in jail Wednesday. He is charged with aggravated child abuse and domestic battery by strangulation.
