Johnson City man arrested after threatening woman at knifepoint

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -

A Johnson City man who threatened a woman's life with a knife is scheduled to be arraigned in court today.

Johnson city police arrested 41-year-old, Bobby Hensley on Tuesday in reference to an assault investigation.

Police say Hensley came to the victim's residence on Pardee Street during the overnight hours on Saturday and intentionally rammed his vehicle into the side of the victim's apartment.

When inside, Hensley held a pocket knife to the victim's throat and threatened to kill her.

Hensley is now behind bars at the Washington County Detention Center on a $52,000 bond.

He is facing charges of aggravated assault, vandalism, and aggravated trespassing.
