PASCO COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -
Construction is about to start on a major road project through Pasco County. Now is the time to get your questions answered.
Interstate 75 will be widened from four lanes to six from just north of County Road 4 to the Pasco/Hernando County line. Work begins next week and is scheduled to last three years.
The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting an open house Tuesday night. It's from 5 to 7 p.m. at the I-75 northbound rest area, which is between exits 275 and 279. Maps will be on display and FDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project one-on-one.
The project will cost $128 million. Eventually the state plans to widen I-75 all the way to the Florida-Georgia line.
