CLOVER, SC -

A South Carolina educator provides a lesson in doing the right thing after she finds a large amount of cash money.

Sherry Whitesides is a 4th grade teacher at Cotton Belt Elementary School in York. On Sunday she happened to come across  a bunch a money on the side of the road.  Sherry and her son stopped when they saw a bank bag fly out of the SUV in front of them and land on the side of the road.  In all the pair picked up 114 $100 bills.

Most people would like an extra $11,000, but the 20-year veteran teacher turned it over to Clover Police.  While Sherry doesn't have any extra cash for her good deed, she did give her children a lesson in doing the right thing.  Sherry and her son Allan, also snapped a photo to commemorate the experience.

The rightful owner was tracked down and the money was returned.
