Three-day DeSoto Heritage Festival Seafood Fest ends today

PALMETTO, FL (WFLA) - Festival goers are enjoying much more than tasty seafood at the DeSoto Heritage Festival Seafood Fest today.

The annual festival at Sutton Park at 1050 Sixth St. W. in Palmetto features arts and crafts, commercial vendors, games and fun for children in the Kids Zone.

The three-day family event features some of the best seafood around along with other tasty offerings from area restaurants and food vendors.

Country music entertainer Travis Tritt and rapper-turned-house flipper Vanilla Ice headlined a host of bands and musical acts this weekend.

A boat shuttle service will depart from Regatta Point Marina every hour until 6 p.m. today, from Riviera Dunes Marina Fuel Dock every 20 minutes past the hour until 6:20 p.m. today, and from the Bradenton Riverwalk Day Dock, leaving every 40 minutes past the hour until 6:40 p.m. today.

Admission: $3, children ages 11 and younger are admitted free. The event ends today.
