CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina's Sylvia Hatchell's doctor told her she could have possibly traveled with her team if they had advanced to the Final Four in Nashville.

Hatchell was diagnosed with Leukemia last fall. She’s been undergoing treatment for the disease for seven months.

She completed her last round of chemotherapy earlier this month.

“I’m doing great, I really am,” Hatchell told WNCN’s Pam Saulsby on Tuesday. “I’m on the rebound. We’re just waiting for my immune system to build itself back.”

Hatchell’s doctor told her attending the Tar Heel's game in Nashville was“doable.”

She said to her that means she could have gone.

“I told them (the team) I’d be there to sing and dance with them on the table,” she said.

The Tar Heels fell to Stanford 74-65.
