Tazewell County, VA (WJHL) -

Tazewell County. Va. Sheriff's Office detectives arrested two men who reportedly broke into Raven Elementary School early Monday morning.

According to a TCSO news release, detectives arrested Mark Anthony Davis, 32, and Jeffrey Ryan Hill, 28, both of Doran Bottom.

Davis and Hill reportedly broke into the school through a back window and then proceeded to steal items from offices and vending machines.

Detectives have since recovered a camera, rolled coins, loss coins, two midland portable radios with a charger and clothing.

Davis and Hill were both charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime, grand larceny and destruction of property.

According to the release, Davis was reportedly already being held in the Southwest Regional Jail in Tazewell, Va. on $5,000 bond.

"This was truly a community effort to bring both of these individuals to justice," Sheriff Brian Hieatt said. "These detectives have performed in an exceptional manner and our community should be proud of the work they have done."

Tazewell County, Va. Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a school break-in early Monday morning, where two people reportedly broke out a back window and stole items from the building.

According to a TCSO news release, deputies were called to Raven Elementary School at 6 a.m. on a report of a school break-in and ran a security check throughout the school.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office also responded and were able to obtain video footage from the school, where it shows two people inside the building.

According to the release, the two people reportedly broke out a window in the back of the school and went through the building, where they broke into offices and vending machines.

Money and other items were reported to be missing from the school.
