No doubt, dining out is a popular pastime here in Tampa Bay. We're here to keep you informed. Here's this week's "dish" about what's happening at Tampa Bay restaurants.

You can expect to see more local restaurants going high tech when it comes to menus. Lee Roy Selmon's, the Ciccio's Restaurant Group, Catch Twenty Three and the Chili's Bar and Grill at Tampa International Airport will start using MenuPad's menu system, which allows restaurant customers to order food from their table using interactive tablet-style menus, according to a report in the ?Tampa Bay Business Journal.

The North Palm Beach based healthy burger joint, "Burger Fi" will be opening a new location in Tampa Bay. The restaurant's website says a restaurant will be coming soon to South Tampa at 714 South Howard Ave. Burger Fi offers burgers made with all-natural, free range beef with gourmet toppings. Craft beer, wine and desserts will also be served. Learn more.

McDonald's will be offering free coffee to its customers for a limited time as competition for the breakfast crowd intensifies.

The world's biggest hamburger chain announced on Friday that participating U.S. locations will offer small cups of McCafe coffee at no charge during breakfast hours from March 31 through April 13. McDonald's said that this is the first time it's ever had a free coffee event nationwide.

The announcement comes as Taco Bell rolls out ads to promote its new breakfast menu, which includes a waffle taco. The ads star everyday men that happen to be named Ronald McDonald, the same name as McDonald's mascot.
