Tampa Bay Rays named least valuable team in MLB

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - In a report by Forbes.com, the Tampa Bay Rays have been named the least valuable Major League Baseball team. According to Forbes, the current value of the Rays is $485 million.

Forbes says the Rays generated 66 percent more wins-per-dollar spend on payroll than the MLB average last season. Their 2013 revenue came in at $181 million, and operating income at $15.3 million last year.
